This is a journey that I must take

Rainshadow walked into her den after a long day of working. Tending herbs at the garden, healing cats who got injured while patrolling the tunnels or hunting, and honing Splashfeather's skills as a medicine cat. She was tired, and looked forward to climbing into her nest, which had many herbs woven into it to help her sleep. She didn't give another thought as she plopped down, did a last minute grooming, and fell asleep.

She found herself standing in the familiar fields of starclan, where she had been before. However, there was an ominous fog surrounding the area, making the location seem less warm and friendly than the last time she visited. "Pinestep?" she said as she saw her former mentor walk out from the fog. Soon, 2 other cats followed him; her father, Shrewtail, and her sister, Cloudfeather. As soon as the medicine cat saw their eyes, she knew that something was wrong.

"We have come to you about something in the future," said her light grey tabby sister in her soft voice. "We have foreseen a great danger to the clans, and we must send you on a journey to lands far away from the territory you know by heart, in order to find it, which will save the clans." 

Immediately after that, Rainshadow had a vision, and an unusually clear one too. She saw lands far away that she was supposed to travel to, with their rolling hills and valleys. Finally, she saw a mountain spewing fire, and a mysterious, almost arcane plant growing on an ember. The plant had leaves that looked like feathers, and glowed in colors that she had never seen.

"This is the plant that you must bring back," said Pinestep as he pointed at the plant. The vision slowly faded away, and once again she was returned to the starry clearing.

"We wish you the best of luck on your journey.
And even if it seems like all hope is lost, we will be guiding you. Just look for the stars that fly across the sky."

The dream slowly faded to the real world, and slowly, Rainshadow opened her eyes, the voices of Pinestep, Shrewtail, and Cloudfeather resonating through her head.

She stretched, and walked off towards Sunstar's den. She'll tell him the vision she had that night. And soon after, she'll prepare herself for traveling, and set off towards the unknown lands.
